Our coordinating team is located in Toronto, Ontario at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. This team manages and coordinates the activities of MAGIC.
Nazia Peer
Research Program Manager
Nazia Peer works as a research program manager in the Knowledge Translation Program at St. Michael’s Hospital. She is a South African Public Health Physician who has worked in healthcare for over 12 years with most of her experience in Sub-Saharan Africa where she strengthened health systems and conducted large-scale epidemiological studies. She has worked in Canada and globally trying to improve evidence based health care. Nazia overlooks the DSEN MAGIC queries, monitoring progress and weekly PIs meeting reports. She provides financial input to the grant from the KTP perspective.
Shazia Siddiqui
Lead Research Assistant
Shazia Siddiqui is the lead research assistant for the Coordinating Office of the MAGIC team. Shazia graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelors in Social Sciences. In 2019, Shazia graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Masters in Public Health. She has experience supporting various research initiatives within the Knowledge Synthesis team; Knowledge Translation Department at Li Ka Shing Research Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital. Shazia is directly responsible for the MAGIC team operations including managing meetings and DSEN MAGIC queries, content dissemination and all general inquiries and external communications.
